Product Description

Bacchus will cut right to the chase today, with 48 hours to go before the Big Day.
Just in, and quite literally, we are talking delivery just a few hours ago – the 2013 Domaine Anderson Pinot Noir, a 93 point estate wine qrown in Anderson Valley just north of Napa/Sonoma in Mendocino County.
So why this? Well, the price is a big factor, but we hope you realize that we live our lives each day with the motto – there is no good price for bad wine. So yes, the price is a factor, BUT, the wine is amazing and if you need a very fine wine on Christmas Day, or even for entertaining for the rest of the week, stock up on this one.
If you’re not familiar with Anderson Valley, you might recognize powerhouses such as Williams-Selyem, Cakebread Cellars, Anthill Family, Copain Winery, Roederer Estate. These are Domaine Anderson’s neighbors and like minded colleagues.
Anderson Valley is a BIG producer of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with the Pinot known for its earthy and exotic spices, fresh and dark fruits, black cherry, clove. The wine comes across as elegant in style rather than hammer-like.
Our friends in the critic circles easily recommend this vintage.
Wine.com: “The excellent 2013 Domaine Anderson Pinot Noir is a beautiful and pure expression of this grape variety. Not looking to placate the cocktail-drinking crowd, this wine is as real as it can be. This wine exhibits true red fruit flavors, notes of dried earth, and nuances from the plant. Pair this wine with the best cut of lamb you can find and accent with a white wine reduction infused with fresh herbs and you understand the real meaning of the grape from Burgundy. 93 Points”
The Tasting Panel: Ripe cherry nose; bright and racy with cherry notes and some earthy elements; savory, balanced, and long. 91 Points”
The cooling marine layer and varied terroir that is characteristic of this Northern California coastal region provides perfect conditions for the cultivation of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. And the careful selection of exceptional Dijon clones from Burgundy have taken right to the soils and climate.
The wine is well done and at 6 years old, hitting mid stride. Drink in good health!
